HI-LIFE

Partners and Support

The HI-LIFE is a collaborative effort of China, India, and Myanmar and is facilitated by the International Centre of Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

India

Other national institutes such as the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) which is based in Dehradun; Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) in Dehradun;
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati; Assam University, Silcher; Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar; North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology, Itanagar; and North Eastern Hill University, Shillong are identified as potential national partners.

Myanmar
  • Forest Department under Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC), earlier known as Ministry of Environment Conservation and Forestry (MOECAF)
    Other departments within MOECAF will also be potentially involved, especially the Environmental Conservation Department in relation to infrastructure development and ecosystem services. Other ministries and departments that may be involved as partners in project activities include:
