Do you have interesting and promising case studies of incentive measures that have supported nature-friendly behaviour and encouraged sustainable landscape management actions?
If yes, come be part of this collaborative exercise to compile the state-of-the-art on incentive measures from the eight Hindu Kush Himalaya countries – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan – and other mountain regions of the world.
The purpose is to understand the kinds of incentive measures applicable in the mountain context and how they can be replicated and scaled to foster meaningful and inclusive stakeholder engagement for climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development actions.
Step 1: Fill form I by 30 July 2023 if you are interested in contributing a case study?
Step 2: Fill Form II by 31 August 2023 with detailed information (by invitation only, after assessing Form I)
Appropriate contributions highlighting innovative incentive measures in various sectors will be reviewed by a panel of expert reviewers, from the eight HKH countries and from outside the region. Selected contributions will be published, and all contributors acknowledged as authors. Selected contributors will be invited to a regional writeshop to finalise the policy and practice recommendations.
This knowledge co-production is part of the Himalayan Resilience enabling action (HI-REAP) programme supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) of the Government of the United Kingdom. HI-REAP focuses on fostering regional cooperation and collaboration for policy influence and investment towards scaling of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and Actions for Clean Air (AfCA).
