How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
I protect the pulse of the planet by using a menstrual cup and encourage all women around me to switch to one. It not only prevents a large volume of sanitary pad waste, but also makes our “period” period very easy going.
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
I really enjoy the diversity, and the supportive and motivating environment here at ICIMOD.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about dancing, and I enjoy reading self-help books. I also enjoy caring for my indoor plants.
My qualifications
I completed my MBA from King’s College, Nepal with a specialization in technology and innovation. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University. Prior to joining ICIMOD, I was a DRR-fellow and an Environment, WASH, and Disaster Management Assistant in Siraha Municipality. I also worked as the Project Lead for E-waste Management and Recycling at Blue Waste to Value, and as a Research and Communication Associate at GUTHI.
