अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय एकीकृत पर्वतीय विकास केन्द्र (इसीमोड) र संयुक्त राष्ट्रसङ्घीय विकास कार्यक्रम (यूएनडीपी)ले सार्वजनिक गरेको प्रतिवेदनले हिमताल फट्ने खतरा रहेको देखाएको हो । जलवायु परिवर्तनको कारण नेपालका २१ वटा हिमताल फुट्ने खतरा रहेकोले सतर्कता अपनाउन विज्ञहरुको आग्रह छ । शून्य दशमलव ०२ वर्ग किलोमिटर भन्दा बढी क्षेत्रफल ओगट्ने १४ सय बढी हिमताल रहेकोमा नेपालका २१ वटा तालहरु जोखिममा रहेको इसिमोडका वरिष्ठ जलवायु विज्ञ डा. अरुण श्रेष्ठले बताए । त्यसमध्ये नेपालका च्छो रोल्पा र इम्जा हिमताल खतरामा रहेका छन ।
