Research expedition to Langtang Valley, Nepal

Our research expedition team is conducting the annual monitoring of glaciological, hydrological, meteorological and permafrost observations in the Langtang Valley, Rasuwa, Nepal.

The primary goals of the research expedition include:

• Annual mass balance measurement of Yala Glacier
• On and off glacier automated weather station maintenance and data download
• Data retrieval and maintenance of permafrost sensors
