Date & Time

The Himalayan Adaptation, Water and Resilience (HI-AWARE) Research on Glacier and Snowpack Dependent River Basins for Improving Livelihoods is part of The Collaborative Adaptation Research Initiative in Africa and Asia (CARIAA) programme funded by Canada’s International Development Research Centre and the UK’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Development. This project is being implemented by ICIMOD in collaboration with CAEWRI-NARC, PARC in Pakistan, TERI in India, BCAS in Bangladesh, and Alterra in the Netherlands.

The CCAPS conference aims at providing a platform for exchange of knowledge on science, policy and good practices related to climate change adaptation in the Hindu-Kush Himalayan (HKH) region. In the past HI-AWARE held annual CCAPS conferences in the four countries where the project was operational. The two-day end of project conference will focus on gendered vulnerabilities in HKH region apart from disseminating major outcomes of the HI-AWARE project. The conference will help in improving understanding and action on climate adaptation by bringing together regional and international experts, government officials, and relevant stakeholders working on climate vulnerability and adaptation in the region.
