The one-day Mango symposium in Madhesh province will bring together farmers, researchers, entrepreneurs, processors, marketers, policymakers, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders to chart a path toward making Madhesh Province a nationally recognised mango hub.
The event aims to highlight Madhesh’s leadership in Nepal’s mango production, explore climate-resilient and market-driven solutions, and support the development of a comprehensive Green, Climate-Resilient and Inclusive Development (GRID) focused mango value chain.
Experts, photos, interviews, and multimedia materials will be made available on request.
Building Capabilities for Green, Climate Resilient, and Inclusive Development (HI-GRID) project is supported by the Australian Government and implemented by ICIMOD and partners, enhances resilience to ‘Too Much and Too Little’ (TMTL) water in the Lower Koshi River Basin (LKRB) through policy action, disaster risk reduction (DRR), Nature-based Solutions, and inclusive, green value chain promotion.
