The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) carries out fieldwork at high altitudes, installing and maintaining meteorological and hydrological instruments and conducting glaciological measurements. The field expeditions are generally conducted in April/May and October/November every year but can be organized in other months as well. The potential field sites are glaciers and their surroundings in Langtang Valley, Hidden Valley in Lower Mustang, Khumbu region, and Barun Valley in Nepal; and Tara Tso (Lumichimi) and Pekutso (Cirenmaco) in Nyalam County, China.
ICIMOD is issuing a request for proposal (RFP) to invite registered and qualified trekking agents to bid for the rights to facilitate ICIMOD field expeditions to the aforementioned sites for a period of two years under a framework agreement. The proposal submission procedure and other details are outlined in the RFP document, available on request through email to procurement@icimod.org.
The filled in RFP should include technical and financial offers in two separate sealed envelopes, which should be packaged and sealed in one outer envelope, addressed to ICIMOD, Khumaltar, Lalitpur, and marked as “RFP for trekking agency services”. The completed RFP should be submitted to the ICIMOD Procurement Office by 4 PM (Nepal Standard Time), 31 December 2020.
ICIMOD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all RFP offers without giving any reason whatsoever.
