I work within the Livelihoods Theme, looking into policies and institutions related to climate change adaptation and issues related to governance. This includes analysing policies, regulations, and strategies and providing recommendations.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
I protect the pulse of the planet by influencing policies and people’s behaviour through my work. At a personal level, I am trying to follow a minimalistic lifestyle – using greener means of transportation and local produce.
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
The multidisciplinary and multicultural work environment is something I really like at ICIMOD. Additionally, field travel for research to very distant and remote areas in the mountains is something I really enjoy and find exciting.
What are you passionate about?
I love food, music, and the outdoors, which includes a lot of travelling, team sports and the environment.
My qualifications
I have a postgraduate degree in environment, development and policy from the University of Sussex, UK and an undergraduate degree in development studies from Kathmandu University, Nepal.
