Narendra Bajracharya

Narendra Bajracharya joined ICIMOD on 20 April 1998. From 1992 to 1998 he worked for in Helvetas Nepal’s SKILL Nepal programme as an electrical instructor where he designed and developed mobile vocational training courses. In this role he conducted trainings in more than 12 remote district of Nepal on electrical installation works, and micro-hydro power plant survey, installation, and maintenance. Prior to that, he worked for Helvetas Nepal’s National Potato Development Programme in the maintenance of lab equipment and the power system for the photo incubator lab and greenhouse. Mr Bajracharya has participated in a training-cum-excursion programme, on ‘Micro hydro power plant design and grid connection’ in Indonesia. He was also involved in developing the guidelines for micro-hydro power plants for the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre, Ministry of Science and Technology, Nepal. Mr Bajracharya is currently looking after ICIMOD’s physical facility and provides technical support to ICIMOD’s projects and sites. His focus is on renewable energy in ICIMOD.
