Building on existing local mechanisms “Pulan-Humla Chamber of Commerce platform” to promote transboundary tourism cooperation would ensure win-win for both the sides. Thus, a border meeting at Hilsa using the existing chamber of commerce platform is also scheduled.

Objectives

  • Participatory consultation with chair, ward representatives and stakeholders of Mapchya municipality on prospects of tourism (local as well as transboundary)
  • Develop action points (short-mid-long term) on Responsible Tourism Plan (including transboundary context) that support Mapchya Municipality development plan
  • Border meeting (Humla-Pulan chamber of commerce) with key areas identified and agreed on promotion of transboundary tourism cooperation
