Event focus

Today’s world is home to the largest generation of young people in history – 1.8 billion – between the ages of 10 and 24 years. Young people aged 13–35 years make up more than one-third of the total population of HKH countries. Yet, youth in the mountains have poor access to knowledge and opportunities.

This session will bring together youth leaders from the region and beyond and discuss the need for strengthened youth engagement to produce global ambassadors communicating the need for climate action in and for the mountains.
