  • Enterprises, start-ups and organizations in Nepal and Bhutan working to reduce air pollution through innovative solutions in any sector. These can include innovative products, technological innovations and/or process innovations to reduce air pollution from households, open garbage and agricultural burning industrial, and business sectors.
  • Enterprises, start-ups and organizations with pre-tested or at prototype-stage air pollution-reduction ideas that are financially feasible, bankable, and have the potential to be scaled up

Interested candidates can fill this application form

The deadline is 10 September 2021 (midnight, Nepal Standard Time).

  • The top 10 pitchers will receive USD 1200 each (5 winners from Nepal and 5 from Bhutan).
  • The 10 pitchers will participate in a three-month long Business Incubation Programme.
  • The winners will be paired with mentors, who will guide them in growing their business.
  • Participants will receive business collaboration and cross-learning opportunities between Nepal, Bhutan and beyond.

August-December 2021

We are inviting a total of 30 businesses (15 each from Nepal and Bhutan) who are directly or indirectly involved in developing air pollution solutions.

Participants in the boot camp will:

  • Participate in online sessions
  • Train to prepare a pitch deck
  • Train for the business pitching competition
  • Explore cross country networking opportunities

The 30 selected competitors will participate in a business pitching competition in which they will have the opportunity to pitch their innovations to the jurors comprising of various specialists from the region and beyond. The top ten competitors will be chosen from this competition.

10 winning pitches (5 from each country) will receive seed money of USD 1200 to develop their business ideas.

The 10 winners from the business pitching competition will be invited to participate in the programme.

The online sessions and meetings will be in English.

The mode of delivery will be online.

Participation in the programme does not guarantee investment or financial support and the programme itself does not directly fund any project, except for, the cash prize (seed) money from the competition for the winners. We will present participants with multiple investment opportunities with the help of our partners, including with angel investors, and help them build business growth models and scale up. Individual participants must decide on how they would like to proceed in order to secure investment or financial assistance.
