50th biannual research and training workshop

About the workshop

The South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) is organising its 50th biannual research and training (R&T) workshop in Lemon Tree, Budhanilkantha, Nepal as a part of its research capacity and academic leadership development activity. SANDEE grantees, faculty advisors, relevant ICIMOD colleagues and SANDEE Secretariat staff will attend the workshop, where they review the progress of the ongoing research under SANDEE grants and develop an action plan for each project for the next six months. Personalised mentoring is the key component of the workshop, where researchers have the opportunity to interact with mentors and peers to improve the quality of their research, develop their research capacity, and learn from other projects discussed at the workshop.

SANDEE steering committee meeting

During the R&T workshop, the SANDEE steering committee meets twice a year to review  its past achievements, discuss ongoing activities, and provide strategic guidance in future course of action and collaborations. The SANDEE Steering Committee will be meeting on 15 December 2025.

SANDEE Faculty Advisory Committee Meeting

The SANDEE Advisory Committee Meeting will be organized on 16th and 17th December to assess the overall progress, to address any significant issues that the researchers are facing and to reflect on the new proposals for moving forward.
