Anju Pandit is working in the Hi-AWARE initiative on an analysis of micro-hydro energy in the Kali Gandaki basin. She holds an MSc from the Central Department of Environmental Sciences at Tribhuvan University, specializing in water resource management and planning. Ms Pandit is no stranger to ICIMOD and originally joined ICIMOD in 2010 as an intern in the Sustainable Livelihoods and Poverty Reduction programme. Since then she has worked for ICIMOD as a consultant in various research projects under the Livelihoods and Ecosystem Services themes relating to climate change adaptation, agro biodiversity, natural resource management, ecosystem services, and their implications for community livelihoods. Most recently, Ms Pandit completed a consultancy for HICAP on the assessment of ecosystem services in the Koshi River Basin.
