Md Akbar Hossain

Md. Akbar Hossain is Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry
Wing) and Director of the Strengthening Regional cooperation for Wildlife
Protection Project. His work focuses on the conservation of biodiversity and
wildlife of the country. He has an MSc in Forestry from the University of
Peshawar, Pakistan, an MSc in Zoology from the University of Dhaka,
Bangladesh, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Apiculture from Cornell
University, USA. His areas of interest include forest resources management,
plantation management, project management, wildlife management,
participatory forestry development, and apiculture.
