Trishna Singh Bhandari joined as a consultant in REDD+ Initiatives under Transboundary Landscapes Regional Programme and is working under the supervision of Dr Bhaskar Karky and Hammad Gillani, and with Brij Rathore on policy related issues.
Bhandarj is from a legal background with master’s degree in environmental law specialising in international climate law from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. Her research work was based on a comparative study of legal policies of Australia and Nepal. She worked as an intern at ICIMOD from July-December 2014 in the Geospatial Solutions thematic area. She has worked for Terai Human Rights’ Defenders Alliance (THRD) previously as a project coordinator, focusing on domestic violence issues in the Terai region. Her research interests include policy analysis and implementation especially in the area of community forestry in Nepal.
