Aneel Piryani joined the Water and Air Theme, and Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit of ICIMOD in October 2013. He brings along seven years of experience in the field international development, both at national and international level. He holds a Master’s degree in International Development with specialization in water resource management and climate change adaptation from University of East Anglia (UEA), United Kingdom. He also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management and Sustainable Development from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland.
Aneel’s areas of expertise include Project Management and Coordination, Water Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation, and Impact Evaluation with a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Before joining ICIMOD, he worked as a program officer at Break Charity in Norwich, United Kingdom, where he was responsible for the project entitled “Vulnerable Young Children at Risk”. He also worked as a research officer at the Centre for Public Policy Research, Peshawar, Pakistan. He has attended over 15 international conferences and workshops.
