Institutional Consolidation for the Coordinated and Integrated Monitoring of Natural Resources towards Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation in the Hindu Kush-Karakoram-Himalaya Mountain Complex
The HKKH Partnership Project aims at consolidation of institutional capacity for systemic planning and ecosystem management in the Hindu Kush-Karakoram-Himalaya region. As a multi-scale initiative, we work together with local, national and regional stakeholders on capacity building and decision support tools for ecosystem management at different temporal and spatial scales. Our activities support the exchange of data, knowledge and experience across the region and the development of a management-oriented research framework.
Objectives
To contribute to consolidating the institutional capacity for systemic planning and management at the local, national and regional levels, with a view to improve the living conditions of local communities and to hinder the loss of biodiversity in the Hindu Kush – Karakoram – Himalaya region.
