Winn Lai Lai Yi

Winn Lai Lai Yi specialises in forestry, natural resources management, and disaster risk reduction. Before joining ICIMOD, she worked with Asian Disaster Preparedness Center on climate adaptation and resilience projects, including developing a framework to support the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) across Asia-Pacific countries, as well as conducting a baseline study assessment of ecosystem services and sustainable development with the Asian Institute of Technology. Winn also served as a Range Officer for the Government of Myanmar, where she was actively involved in reforestation, afforestation, community forestry, and implementation of nature-based solutions initiatives. She brings strong technical and project management skills, along with extensive experience in multicultural environments and effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.  

Winn holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Natural Resources Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Forestry from the University of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, Myanmar.
