As Adminstrative Associate within the Strategic Cooperation Unit (SCU), I oversee the administrative functions for the Director of Strategic Cooperation and for the unit as whole. How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
Professionally, through my unit and through facilitating thriving partnerships between ICIMOD and our partners, we together ultimately protect the pulse of the planet.
It is through small initiatives that I believe we can bring in big changes. As an aware individual, I do whatever I can in order to protect the pulse of the planet through trying to implement environment-friendly behaviour in my daily activities and also promoting the same in my family, society, and community.
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
ICIMOD has this different environment and surrounding which make it distinct from other organisations. Working in this environment is refreshing and inspires me to do more. There is so much to learn at ICIMOD and working with experts and professionals gives a young professional like me plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. I also believe working here at ICIMOD not only serves my personal growth but also makes me feel that I am contributing to the greater good of the planet.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about doing impactful work that actually helps the environment and people, and personally I also enjoy watching movies, tv shows, travelling and reading a good book.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in Business Administration and will graduate by 2020. I started my professional career in the aviation sector for a brief span and then moved to working for aid agencies. I have had almost 6 years’ work experience, during which I worked in several districts of Nepal. I’ve also had opportunities to receive training in supply chain management, commodity inventory, logistics management, disaster response, and camp site management.
