Sudip Kumar Maharjan

Design Officer
Communications

As a graphic designer, I create visual content to clearly communicate ICIMOD’s work in the HKH. I work on a wide range of publications – from flyers and infographics to technical reports and promotional collateral – to provide a visual narrative to the impact we have on people’s lives and on the environment. I aim to keep our messaging simple, impactful, and striking, placing mountain people and issues at the forefront.

Q:

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?

A:

I have to carefully understand what we are trying to communicate and to whom, and I coordinate with many talented, hardworking colleagues to create innovative, clean designs. I’m also responsible for prominently featuring our unique work and role as an organization through our distinctive branding. Our unit pushes this unique narrative to advance the mountain agenda for collective action and change, and that is how I protect the pulse.

What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?

What are you passionate about?

Apart from my work, I love to create graphical artworks and illustrations, watch movies, stay updated on new developments in visual communications, and watch and play football.
