Senior Project Coordinator - HICAS Strategic group: Resilient economies and landscapes
Jess joined ICIMOD in August 2025 as a Senior Project Coordinator for the Integrated Climate Adaptation Solutions for the Hindu Kush Himalaya Region (HI-CAS) project.
In this role, she leads the team delivering the integrated climate adaptation solutions for the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) project funded by Global Affairs Canada in Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.
Jess’ work focuses on ensuring the effective and impactful delivery of this transformative gender-equitable development programme which seeks to improve the livelihoods of women and Indigenous People and Local Communities (IPLCs) and reduce their vulnerability to climate change impacts. Combining springshed management and renewable energy interventions, the programme ensures solutions promote Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in the design, implementation and review the solutions.
Previously, Jess served as Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Global Lead at Save the Children International and Senior Resilience Advisor at Oxfam Great Britain (GB). She holds extensive experience in climate change adaptation, climate resilient livelihoods and watershed management, anticipatory and alternative climate financing approaches, gender justice and inclusion as well as community participation and accountability.
Jess holds an MSc in African Studies from the Oxford University, and a BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
