Megh Ranjani Rai is a Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Specialist with vast experience in post-disaster and post-conflict scenarios in Ghana, Haiti, India, Kenya, Maldives, Nepal, Timor-Leste, and Uganda. Rai has experience working in different capacities – primarily involving disaster risk reduction and gender – in several international organizations, such as the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, Plan International, UNDP Nepal, and UNICEF. She is a member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. She has also served as a lecturer at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Rai holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Pavia, Italy.
