ICIMOD-Pakistan Country Consultation

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD)-Pakistan Country Consultation is organised with the support of the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, Government of Pakistan, with the following objectives:

• To provide a platform for exchange and mutual learning on past cooperation between ICIMOD and the national partners with special regard to programme implementation under ICIMOD’s third Medium Term Action Plan (MTAP III, 2013–17);
• To identify key national priorities from the Government of Pakistan and ICIMOD’s national partners to guide the planning of the next MTAP (2018-22);
• To jointly explore further potential for regional cooperation, especially against the background of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and new emerging financial mechanisms like the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund (AF).

The consultation aims to assess the ongoing collaboration as part of ICIMOD’s current MTAP III and to integrate key national and regional priorities in the formulation of the next MTAP IV.
