Annual HICAP Partners Workshop: Outcome, Synthesis, and Outlook

As the Himalayan Climate Change Adaptation Programme (HICAP) at ICIMOD enters the final stages of its six-year implementation period, the annual HICAP Partners Workshop for 2016 will bring together partners who have worked with HICAP for the past four years for a three day workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The workshop will serve as an important milestone, tracking the progress made by all partners within HICAP, and identifying areas for collaboration for the completion of all the remaining work.

It will also serve as a platform where results and lessons learned can be captured. It will facilitate discussions on how to achieve sustained impact through synthesis, outreach and the scaling up of the major findings of the initiative.

In addition, the workshop will be an opportunity to begin to look beyond 2017, and to discuss possible priorities and opportunities, and new partnerships that will enable all work being done through HICAP to be taken further.

Objectives

• To capture key results and overall lessons learned, more particularly from 2015 and 2016 so far.
• To plan activities and priorities for HICAP in 2017.
• To discuss the synthesis and outreach of HICAP results.
• To identify priorities and opportunities post-2017.
