Beekeeping Project Regional Results Sharing Meeting Records Achievements and Plans for the Future

As a part of its Beekeeping Project, ICIMOD organized a three-day meeting in Kathmandu, Nepal, 27–29 August. The meeting provided a platform for project partners to share their past experiences, achievements, and impacts of the project; to explore potential areas of future work; to contribute to shaping the project evaluation; and to identify potential areas for integration into ICIMOD’s next Medium Term Action Plan. Thirty participants attended the meeting, with representatives of 17 partner organizations in six regional member countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Nepal and Pakistan. Outputs from the meeting included the compilation of project achievements, impacts, learning, successes, and best practices, and identification of potential areas for future intervention and new work activities under different components of the project, including Honey Value Chains and Quality Assurance, Pollination and Ecosystem Services, and Curriculum Development for Sustainable Apiculture.
