This section provides general demographic information about household heads and household members as well as information about those who have migrated away from their village/town for work.

Summary

Households typically had five to seven members. In most cases the head of the household was male, and most household heads were married. A majority of household heads identified themselves as Brahmin or Chettri (caste/ethnicity), except in Saptari, Gorkha, Kailali, and Sindhupalchok where a large portion of household heads identified themselves as Dalit, Hill Janajati , Terai Janajati, and Hill Janajati respectively.
