Mani Nepal is an environmental/development economist. Before joining SANDEE, he worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico during 2007-08. He has also worked as an economist for the Department of Finance and Administration (New Mexico, USA), Action Aid Nepal, Agricultural Projects Service Center, and Nepal Foundation for Advanced Studies. His research is published in journals such as Land Economics, International Journal of Ecological Economics and Statistics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Policy Studies, and the Economic Journal of Nepal. Dr. Nepal has a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in Resource/Environmental and Development Economics, and Master of Science in Policy Economics from the University of Illinois.
