Nani K. Bajracharya joined ICIMOD in July 1984 as a Secretary for different programmes, including the Rural Energy and Environment Programme and Population and Employment division. During her term as Programme Secretary she visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok and Economic Social Commission for Asia Pacific (ESCAP), International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Singapore as well as attended the Quetta Workshop in Pakistan in 1989. She currently works as a Senior Administrative Assistant, in the Human Resources Development (HRD) section. She maintains records of leave using the Staff Leave Management System, as well as managing staff time sheets, staff medical insurance, the issuing of staff identity cards, and so forth. Ms Bajracharya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and a Diploma in Administrative Management from SENCAT, Kathmandu. She was the President of the Kathmandu Lady Jaycees in 1989 and General Secretary in 1986. She also completed an office management training course from Save the Children Fund and Organisation Development Centre Incorporated (ODC Inc.) in Kathmandu in 1994.
