Land Use Change and Human Health in Eastern Himalayas (ECO-HEALTH) - The Final Project Summary and Dissemination Workshop


The Eco-Health project is being implemented with kind supported of IDRC since 2006 in Nepal, Yunnan Province and Tibetan Autonomous Region of China. The overall goal of the project is to reduce the vulnerability of mountain people to human health issues caused by land use change through promoting ecosystem approaches to human health in the Himalayan region. The project is being coordinated by Dr. Fangjing of Institute of Health and Development Studies, Kunming Medical University, China as a consultant for ICIMOD.The Project will be formally ending by 31st August 2011. 

The objectives of the workshop are twofold: 

  1. to summarize findings and lesson learnt from the project, 
  2. to disseminate findings to and share with invited stakeholders so as to promote EcoHealth in the region.
