The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development’s (ICIMOD) Post-production Film Grant provides financial assistance to video- and filmmakers working on issues within the Hindu Kush Himalayan (HKH) region and whose work is consistent with ICIMOD’s goals.

Submissions are accepted for documentary, educational, narrative, animation, and experimental projects about the HKH region’s people, livelihoods, and/or environment. Any work which highlights issues of gender and marginalized groups will be given priority.

For the purposes of this application, "post-production" means post-production as well as subtitling and video-to-film transfer. This grant will not fund script development, research, pre-production, or production, including shooting additional footage. Applicants should provide a plan, with an indicative budget, for the post-production of their project.

Awards will be based on a clear demonstration of the following:
  • Financial need
  • Assurances that the project will be completed
  • The grant makes a critical contribution to the post-production of the project.
  • The project makes a unique statement about the HKH people and/or issues of concern to them and their communities.
Grants in the range of USD 500–3,000 will be provided.

Application deadline: 15 November 2019
Award announcement: 11 December 2019
