Yufang Su

Deputy Director, Centre for Mountain Ecosystem Studies (CMES)

Yufang Su is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Mountain Ecosystem Studies (CMES), a joint research centre of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), hosted by the Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB). She has more than 20 years of research experience in resources governance, land tenure, rural development, and local adaptation to climate change. She also serves as a researcher at the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences. She therefore has some different professional experiences at different institutional settings. Su completed a Bachelor's degree programme on Geography at the Shanghai Teachers’ University in China and got a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development at the Chiang Mai University in Thailand. She received her PhD at Mae Fah Luang University in Thailand.
