Sita Medamba

Sita Medamba is a reporter at the BBC Nepali Service, Kathmandu Nepal. She has been working as a journalist since for nearly two decades  with a wealth of experience in multimedia journalism. Based in Dharan of eastern region of Nepal, she covers mostly social issues through the BBC Nepali Service.  She also writes for various local and national daily papers. Previously, she worked as a reporter in Dharan-based Blast National Day, as a correspondent for Himal Media, and as a radio magazine producer in Saptakoshi FM, a leading FM radio station in eastern Nepal. She received a 3-month long investigative journalism training from Center for Investigative Journalism, feature writing skills and the radio reporting training from BBC College of Journalism and participated in a Hostile Environment Management training for about a week with first aid skills from BBC.  Sita has a master’s and LLB degree. 

Mademba is keen to enhance her knowledge on climate change and related issues.
