Pranita Bhushan Udas is a water professional with more than 15 years experience related to gender, water and justice equity. She holds masters degree in soil and water, with irrigation specialisation and PhD in environmental science, Wageningen School of Social Sciences, Wageningen University, the Netherlands. Before joining ICIMOD, she was a contributing gender expert for Water Resources Project Preparatory Facility of Ministry of Irrigation on preparing GESI Guidelines of Department of Irrigation and Department of Water Induced Disaster Prevention, Nepal Government. Her research experience is in participatory irrigation management, gendered water governances, and multi-stakeholders processes in water management. Ms Udas is a resource person for national and international trainings on Gender and Integrated Water Resources Management and Water Induced Disaster Management. Earlier she had worked with Gender and Water Alliance, and Disaster Studies Group, Wageningen University in the Netherlands and Gujarat Institute of Development Research, SaciWATERs and GLOCAL in India and Nepal Engineering College, WATCH, and Eco Himal in Nepal.
