Myat Su Mon

Myat Su Mon has worked as a journalist for 7 Day News Journal, a well-known Myanmar journal and newspaper from 2006 to 2013. Mon moved to Thailand’s The Irrawaddy magazine in 2013 as a senior reporter and copy editor. She studied Training of Trainer (ToT) on basic journalism and Conflict Sensitive Reporting (CSR) at Internews, Myanmar and assisted Myanmar Journalist Network (MJN) in journalism training. Mon enjoys teaching and learning. She spent 2015 as an assistant media trainer for Internews. Mon currently works as a freelance journalist and contributes to Maw Kun Magazine. She can be reached at

Htet Shine 

Htet Shine has been working in Daily Eleven newspaper and weekly Eleven Journal since 2014. Prior to that, Shine was associated with a local news journal Pyi Myanmar as a reporter from 2012-2013. As a journalist, he has attended various workshops relating to economic development, environment, wildlife trade, news literacy and others. Ms Htet Htet Naing

Htet Htet Naing is a third-year journalismstudent at National Management College in Yangon. She progressing from working as a freelance reporter at Mizzima Media group in December 2014 to political reporter. Despite her youth, Naing says her aim is to be trustworthy and ethical. Kyaw Ko Ko

Kyaw Ko Ko has been working as a reporter for The Myanmar Times Mandalay bureau for one year. He graduated from Yadanarpon University of Mandalay in 2013 with an emphasis in law.  Ko Ko reports on agriculture, land disputes, culture and believes this training will provide new experiences to explore and expand his territory for reporting in the future.  With the training based in Mandalay, Ko Ko says the training will be a great networking opportunity. May Jue Zin

May Jue Zin has been working in the media industry since 2009. Presently she is working with The Farmer Media. Thant Zin Win

Thant Zin Win is a reporter at Myanmar News Agency, Ministry of Information. Win worked in the ministry from 2001 in various positions. In 2008, he earned a bachelors in economics from the University of East Yangon, and received his diploma in Information and Communications Technology in 2007 from Yangon University.

Win reports on various issues including sustainable development, natural disaster. His worked has been published in Global New Light of Myanmar (English version), the Mirror, and Myanmar’s Alinn newspapers. He can be reached at .

May Myat Thu is a reporter for The Traveler Myanmar Journal. From 2009 to 2012, Thu worked in public relations at Eleven Media Group. Aung Aung is a senior reporter from the Democracy Today daily newspaper. He has four years of experience in the field of media and journalism. Daw Sun Sun Oo

Daw Sun Sun Oo is  the Deputy Director of the radio division of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. production. Prior to that she served as a producer, news reader, script writer, news editor at Radio Magazine. Sun Sun Oo took part in transforming state-owned MRTV into a public service broadcasting station. She participated in the Cyclone and Disaster Warning Technology of Radio and Television Training in Japan, End-to-End Early Warning System for Natural Disaster supported by JICA workshop (2015-2016) as well as BBC Media Action Lifeline Programming Workshop in 2015.
