Fazal Khaliq

Fazal Khaliq, a journalist and culture activist, has been working with the DAWN Media Group as a reporter for Swat valley for the last six months in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. He has worked with the Express Tribune for about five years. He is also an editor of the Morning Post, an online news website and editor of the Urdu language monthly magazine, SHAOOR. He has also been working as a cultural and climate change activist and has written five books. His last book titled “Uddiyana Kingdom: The Forgotten Holy Land of Swat” which earned international fame. He, regularly, delivers lectures and presentations about his cause to the college and university students to raise awareness. He has earned several awards for his stories.

Peer Muhammad

Peer Muhammad is a mid-career journalist and holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. Since 2010, he works for Pakistan’s leading English daily, The Express Tribune, a partner of International New York Times. Previously, he has worked for the Business Recorder, Pakistan’s largest financial daily. He has experience in reporting on diverse sectors. During the decade long professional experience, Muhammad has been covering economic, political, cultural social, environmental, climate change and issues related to food security. Currently, he mostly focuses on the issues of food security, environment, climate change and water. Sana Jamal

Sana Jamal writes on culture, environment, human rights, women & children issues for the Pakistan Observer. Since 2014, she is also working as South Asia Editor for Tribune International (Australia). Sana Jamal has also been involved in several projects for International Relations Insights and Analysis and Tele-Visual Infolink (TVI). She has edited two books ‘Web Guide to Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistan Media & PR Guide’. In 2015, she founded Islamabad Scene – a news and info web portal. Luavut Zahid 

Luavut Zahid is a journalist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She has been serving as the Pakistan Correspondent to the Crisis Response Journal since 2013, and works in the capacity of Special Correspondent for Pakistan Today since 2012. Her work places an emphasis on humanitarian and environmental issues, which she weaves into her stories and reports. Luavut got her MPhil in Media Studies from the Kinnaird College for Women in 2013.
