Dr Maxime Litt joined ICIMOD in July 2015 as a glacio-hydrologist for the Cryosphere Monitoring Project. Dr Litt obtained his MSc in Physics from the University of Liege in Belgium and MSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Grenoble in France. He also holds a PhD from the University of Grenoble. His PhD focused on the energy balance of mountain glaciers in the Andes and Alps, with special attention to turbulent fluxes and micrometeorology. Before his PhD, Dr Litt worked as a cooperation assistant for two years for the French Institut de Recherche pour le Developpement (IRD) in Bolivia on the glaciological and meteorological monitoring of glaciated catchments in the Andes. His main areas of expertise are meteorological, glaciological and hydrological observation and analysis.
