ICIMOD is contributing to the Mountain and Water Pavilion at one of the five topical pavilions at the Voices for the Climate exhibition being held at the Jockey Club Del Perú, in Lima, Peru. The exhibition is free and is open to the public. 

ICIMOD and its partners will hold a special event focusing on climate change in the Hindu Kush Himalayas.

Towards a sustainable future in the mountains: Sharing experiences from the Hindu Kush Himalayas
Jockey Club Del Perú, El Derby, Santiago de Surco 15023, Peru

An interactive panel discussion to share experiences, innovative approaches, and emerging research on topics relevant to sustainable development and climate change adaptation in the mountains. Speakers will share work from the Hindu Kush Himalayan region on various topics, including the status of glaciers and water availability in the ‘water towers of Asia’; reducing flood risk using community-based approaches and technologies; the health impacts of indoor air pollution; and creating alternative income generating activities through payments for goods and services from the mountains.
