Veronika Utz

Veronika Utz is currently Advisor for Value Chain Development and Awareness raising/Knowledge management at the GIZ implemented project 'Conservation and Sustainable Management of Biodiversity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (BKP-Project)', Islamabad, Pakistan.

An agronomist by training she has expertise in management of natural resources, rural economic and social development, value chain development, appropriate technologies, development-oriented emergency and transitional aid.

She has worked on Indigenous Practices of Sustainable Land and Natural Resource Management in Asian Highlands' in Thailand (2002).

She was involved in the IFAD/GIZ Rural Livelihoods Improvement Programme (RLIP) and Integrated Rural Development of Mountainous Areas (RDMA) in Sayaboury Province in Laos (2006-2010) and in the reintegration of returnees & internally displaced persons in West und Nord Bahr el Ghazal und Warrap States in South Sudan (2011-2012).

She has been working in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Management in Pakistan since 2013.
