Heman Das Lohano

Heman D Lohano, a Pakistani national, joined SANDEE on 1 August 2013 as Senior Economist. Before joining ICIMOD, he was as an Associate Professor of Economics and Program Coordinator of the MS Economics program at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. He has a PhD in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, USA. He is a quantitative economist with a deep interest in environment and development problems. His primary areas of professional expertise are in environmental economics, dynamic programming, and applied econometrics. He has written several peer-reviewed journal articles and papers on topical issues related to agriculture and environment. More recently, his research has focused on climate change impacts and non-market valuation.
