Knowledge Management and Communication Associate, Knowledge Management and Communication
As a Knowledge Management and Communications Associate for the Indus Basin Initiative, my main role is communicating to as broad an audience possible, the initiative’s vision of building a resilient Indus Basin. This work involves documenting the initiative’s activities and events, maintaining its web and digital presence, and regularly sending out information to members of the Indus Basin Knowledge Forum consisting of over 300 researchers, scientists, and policymakers working in the basin countries.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
I protect the pulse by initiating conversations about climate change with my family members and friends. Over time, I hope the circle grows bigger and the conversations reach wider!
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
I love that every morning as I enter the gate, I am greeted with bright flowers, beautiful trees, and fresh air! I love that we can sit in the grass and soak in the warm sun during the chilly winter days. At work, I love having the space to try out my ideas and the support to execute them.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about reading, writing, and exploring the marvels of nature!
My qualifications
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in public health from the Asian University for Women (AUW) in Bangladesh. As a liberal arts university, being at AUW also allowed me to explore diverse courses ranging from religion, philosophy, politics, to filmmaking.
