My role at ICIMOD

I’m an editor, and manage the publications pipeline at ICIMOD. I work with in-house content producers and external contributors to produce communication and outreach material, and fulfil editorial and managerial tasks for the institution.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?

A:

As part of ICIMOD, I am very much a part of the global effort to protect the HKH and the people, resources, and cultures that define it. The knowledge we create and share helps the people of the HKH become more resilient, make the most of new opportunities, and prepare for change.

What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?

A:

I enjoy being part of a talented and diverse group of professionals all working to improve the lives and livelihoods of the people of the HKH, and protect its environments and cultures.

What are you passionate about?

A:

I am passionate about words; about how, when used judiciously, they are able to communicate the most powerful messages. How we communicate information to the world outside matters, and I’m glad to be part of a team leading the effort at ICIMOD.

My qualifications

A:

I have a BA in journalism and English literature from St Xavier’s College, Kathmandu, and have nine years of editing, writing, and publications management experience.
