Adaptation and Resilience Building
As a Programme Officer for our Resilient Mountain Solutions Initiative under the Adaptation and Resilience Building Regional Programme, I support the team by coordinating and managing resources and partnerships as well as monitoring and reporting.
How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
I protect the pulse through my work promoting the use of evidence-based knowledge and solutions to enhance the resilience of mountain people in the HKH.
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
At ICIMOD, I enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams and enjoy the diversity, both culturally and geographically.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about anything to do with nature. We as humans have received and extracted so much from nature, I would consider myself privileged if I could give back even a fraction of it.
I hold a Joint Master’s degree in natural resource management and ecological engineering from Lincoln University, New Zealand and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria. I stepped into the development sector in 2010 through my work within a bilateral programme on livelihoods and forestry with DFID. Since then, I have worked with multiple other INGOs such as CARE Nepal, WWF, Save the Children and Plan International and have managed and coordinated projects in the areas of climate change adaptation, environmental management, conservation, risk management and livelihoods development.
