My role at ICIMOD

As a Gender and Adaptation Specialist, my role is to collaborate across our thematic areas and regional programmes and initiatives to integrate gender and social inclusion perspectives, attention to gender issues and analysis in the context of natural resource management and climate change into programme activities and thematic research. I also produce knowledge products on gender dimensions, and organize and design trainings for staff, communities and partners.

I protect the pulse of the planet through ensuring gender and social inclusion in research, capacity building activities, strategies and policies at national, regional and international levels through gender analysis, mainstreaming and networking.

My qualifications

A:

I have done my Masters’  degree in gender and development from the Institute of Development Studies with a Chevening Scholarship. Previously I was affiliated with Aga Khan Rural Support Program.
