My role at ICIMOD

I’m involved in capacity building, trainings, field visits, awareness raising and have both strengthened existing partnerships and played a key role in establishing new partnerships in Pakistan. Recently, with the support of the Gender team, I worked on a collective farming approach with community women of Gilgit Baltistan. I organize various international events to raise awareness among youth about climate change, its impacts and possible adaptation strategies. I also organized the first meeting for the formation of a Gender Resource Group in Pakistan where leading gender experts and community women participated and shared their ideas and have been instrumental in the formation of the Upper Indus Basin Network.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
