My role focuses on supporting the enhanced understanding of present and future scenarios for our Himalayan basins through research and capacity building of partner organizations and individuals. I apply hydrological modelling tools, approaches, and climate data and information products available globally or locally.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
I am dedicated to protecting the pulse of the planet, because I seek to understand how each aspect of the pulse matters to our lives and livelihoods and then I share this vital information among scientific and local communities. This enhanced understanding will help us to better address the issues that undermine the health of the Himalayan basins and to better prepare for future events.
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
Being part of an energetic group of like-minded people from diverse cultural, educational and social backgrounds coming together, dedicated to working together for protecting the pulse of the planet.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about understanding past environmental scenarios, how the future might unravel in this changing climatic scenario and how our activities are influencing natural patterns and cycles. In addition, I’m passionate about hiking and exploring music, movies, arts and literature.
I am from an environmental science background with a specialization in climate change. I am currently working in the water resource sector and have sound knowledge in climate change and variability, future scenarios and climatic data analysis, application of hydrological modelling tools and the approaches, integrated approaches for river basin management.
