My role at ICIMOD

In the last 28 years that I’ve worked at ICIMOD, I’ve been involved in designing our range of publications and publicity materials.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?

A:

The publications I design carrying our messages are distributed worldwide through different channels, so I spread messages about the importance of protecting the pulse through my contribution and expertise as a graphic designer.

What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?

A:

I enjoy working in the multicultural environment at the Centre and I enjoy being within a wonderful team at KMC with strong teamwork and cooperation.

What are you passionate about?

A:

My passion is graphic arts and I like designing work very much.

My qualifications

A:

I have worked in the Centre since 1992 when I had joined as a Layout Assistant and have designed thousands of publications, including research reports, working papers, manuals, special publications and general documents including staff ID cards, business cards, calendars, workshop proceedings, yearly planners, notebooks, banners, name tags, and flyers.

Before joining ICIMOD, I worked with the United Mission to Nepal, studied secretarial science and completed my School Leaving Certificate. I have also attended many trainings in different software packages including Microsoft Office, graphic design packages, AutoCad, and webpage design in HTML, JavaScript, Flash, Dreamweaver, as well as Discreet 3D Studio, Macromedia Freehand, Animation, Adobe InDesign, PageMaker, Acrobat, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
