ICIMOD in collaboration with 17 national partner organizations has been implementing the project “Improving Livelihoods through Knowledge Partnerships and Value Chains of Bee Products and Services in the Himalayas” in seven out of eight regional member countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Nepal and Pakistan) of ICIMOD since 2009. The main objective of the project is to improve livelihoods of mountain people through developing pro-poor value chains of bee products and services by building human and institutional capacities. The project will be completed in December 2012 with a final external evaluation. Again, ICIMOD is currently in the process of developing its new five-year medium-term action plan (MTAP-III: 2013-17). In this context, the project is planning a three-day regional result sharing meeting for all partners to share on their achievement and impact of the collaborative efforts of the project. The meeting would contribute in shaping the project evaluation and outlining potential areas for consideration in MTAP-III.
