The session will present examples of how AIRCA members have developed different aspects of climate-smart agriculture (CSA) and how this has contributed to healthy landscapes and improved livelihoods.

Although agriculture is a major cause of climate change, it is also central to adaptation and mitigation strategies. Six renowned scientists in their respective fields will be sharing challenges and key learning from various climatesmart agriculture initiatives implemented around the world.

Climate-smart agriculture and the landscape approach to agricultural development need to be more firmly included in national adaptation strategies. Both offer practical and complimentary solutions that will help reduce degradation, alleviate poverty, and strengthen food and nutritional security. In this forum we want to reach out to policy makers, stakeholders and partner to discuss how our experiences can be up scaled further for the benefit of healthy people in healthy landscapes.
